The Marine Corps Birthday Ball was held at the Prime Osborne Convention Center.  It was held in conjunction with the Jacksonville Area chapter of the Montford Point Retired Marines, a group that honors the first African-American Marines who trained at Montford Point, N.C. in 1942.  This was a formal event and included dinner and dancing.
