Suggestions from the Col.
Successful recruiting season. Now we have the ability to place students in MCJROTC classes by grade. Will also be taking students from the general population for elective. Planning a mini-boot camp late July or August. Frustrated by inability to get the information before the public. Col. would like to do story on cadet at the Naval academy (he’ll be back on May 26th ). Need to publicize successes of students. Col. will be approaching businesses to provide incentives. Orientation: planning to do things differently (“This is my life” type activity .) Boosters bought rugs for the building (one by the back door is in; the one by the front door is on order.) Evergreen cemetery 8:00 a.m. on Memorial Day. Thirteen events scheduled from now through the end of school (color guards, etc.) Col. plans to build community service hours into the program. Suggested charging membership fee to cover shirt, insurance ($15 suggested). Wants to know if parents will help supervise some cadets to do some landscaping. Mr. Zug said he would lend his expertise on a Saturday.

Treasurer Report
Col. reported the club has approximately $2000 in their account.

Parris Island
The April 10th -13th field trip was successful; pictures are posted on the website.
