The Ribault MCJROTC Program is one of the magnet programs offered by the Duval County School District. Magnet programs were started in the
1991-1992 school year as a voluntary desegregation plan and are designed to give students an opportunity to explore a special interest, gift, talent or skill. Students interested in attending the Ribault MCJROTC Program must complete an application and be chosen via the district's lottery system. The application season usually runs January and February with applications due at the end of February. Fortunately, the process is flexible enough that interested families may apply after that date, including after school has started. We normally hold at least one Open House during the application season and again in the late spring. This allows interested students and their parents to visit the school and speak with the instructors, some current cadets and their parents.
